Slim Thug Christmas Toy Drive

On Christmas Eve Houston rapper Slim Thug and a dozen friends distributed toys in North Houston at the Garden City and Copper Tree apartments complexes to hundreds of children. In addition to the toys that were given lunch was provided for the children and their families as well. Despite his fame, celebrity status, many accomplishments, various accolades and awards Slim Thug was Stayve Thomas giving back to his community. He took pictures, laughed, played and interacted with the children and parents for hours. Rappers often don't get enough credit for the good they do, the focus is always on negative or unflattering things. Slim Thug's Toy Drive and giveaway has become a tradition. He has been consistent in his actions and good deeds for the Houston community.

The C.E.O & Founder of Exclusive Fashion & Furs POLO aka. THE FUR KING also makes sure he stays connected to the community. No matter how busy he is he makes it a point to do his part no matter how busy he is. Recently The Fur King ran in the Bunker Hill Race in Charles Town for "The Boys & Girl Club" in Boston. This is the second year in a row that Polo ran this race and makes plans for this to become one of his annual yearly contributions. He didn't just want to donate money. He feels as if anyone can just give money but to give your time and energy that's what really counts. So polo did what he does best which is being positive and remaining confident regardless of what tribulations that comes his way. Unlike last year, this year The Fur King endured a sprain ankle during his 2 mile run and still finished. "I would do all this again. Just so people can see that I'm not just about fashion and music. I am a person and if there's something I can do to give someone hope then I will."- Polo aka. The Fur King

ZyeCha Inc/ Nisha Management teams up together to support Prina's good friend Le Maxque (King of Ghana Traditional Ayigbe Music) in his Anti- Breast Campaign Ghana. When Le Maxque asked me to to help in his anti- breast campaign I couldn't do anything but help. Le Maxque connected with me from noticing my humanitarian work with Humanity Healing. We instantly hit it off and I instantly noticed we shared the same passion. This was a year ago and throughout that year I remember the steps it took for Le Maxque to get it recognized in his country. This is the first time ever that Africa has recognize this cause and we made history. Le Maxque has teamed up with Ghana Health Services which is embarking on an innovative campaign to educate our women on the urgent need to take a second look at the importance of the breast. The event,The Romantic Killer Ghana 2009 in itself is a 2 year program designed by Le Maxque to

Carl "Mann" Johnson Makes Major Strives Towards Helping Out The Community
Carl "Mann" Johnson, CEO of the A-N-C Umbrella Foundation, donates his time to volunteer the 100 Black Men of Hope, support High School Benefit Concert, Mayor Adrian Fenty and Feeding the Homeless.

Washington, DC - November –
On November 6, 2009, Carl “Mann” Johnson has agreed to participate in the 100 Black Men of Hope event, taking place at the Imagine Hope Community Charter School, located at 2917 8th St., NE, Washington, DC. This event is geared towards promoting community service and involvement. The participants will volunteer to complete tasks such as: assisting in classrooms, reading books, mentoring, putting together school furniture, and facilitating gym and lunch periods. The time of the event is from 9am – 2pm.

Carl developed his roots in activism in his early teen years, serving as a Peer Mediator at Laurel High School, helping fellow students resolve conflict and issues that arise during the day to day rigors of school. For this reason, he has agreed to return to his roots, Laurel High School, and show support at their Benefit Concert being held on November 6th, 2009 at 7pm. When asked to show support Carl never had to think twice, as he was extremely eager to give back to where it all began. The purpose of the concert is to raise awareness that the Arts Program is in jeopardy.

Carl is also working side by side in the quest to establish and maintain a continuing positive community presence for DC’s Mayor Fenty with the My Story, My Mayor, Adrian Fenty Fundraiser. This event‘s main objective is to gather everyday DC Residents with a personal story about how Adrian Fenty positively impacted their life as Mayor of DC. Carl is working heavily to assist with promoting and supporting this event. Policy DC Lounge has agreed to host the event at their establishment and the event will take place from 6pm – 10pm.

The Homeless Services Planning and Coordinating Committee issued an online statistic report for 2009, which concluded that the District of Columbia has over 12,035 single adults and families that are homeless. These numbers are extremely disturbing and it is imperative that we try to encourage everyone to help out with this situation, and Carl “Mann” Johnson is doing just that. On November 15th, 2009, Fundamental Aspects of Music (F.A.M.E) is “Feeding the Homeless”. Carl greatly endorses this organization, which is the brainchild of Chris Cole from BET College Hill, because they are inspired to help our community by putting together these types of events. Volunteers are encouraged to follow Carl’s lead and come out to donate their time to feed the homeless. It will be held at the CCND Shelter, 425 2nd Street, NW., from 12pm – 6pm.
