Dj Schemes
Coming from a long line of DJs, Patrick Fletcher aka “DJ Schemes” recognized his ear for music very early in life. While still in junior high school, he realized that his passion for music and DJing were both things that he wanted to pursue. At the age of 16 he began carrying equipment for his older cousin who was working as a DJ at New York City nightclubs. Around this same time he began his official training and apprenticeship underneath this his cousin.
Schemes was born and raised in New York and is a Brooklyn native. He always represents where he is from and takes a great deal of pride in his rich Jamaican heritage. Both his history and heritage play major roles in his areas of musical expertise, which includes the genres of Reggae, Soca, Hip-Hop and R&B. Though well versed in these genres, he is also known for having a very diverse collection of music. He is adept at DJing anything from a Bar Mitzvah, to a war veteran’s 90th birthday celebration.
Schemes began his professional career in 2002. In May 2008, he graduated from West Virginia University and is currently resides in Morgantown, WV. He is employed by Tabu nightclub in Morgantown where he not only works as a DJ, but also serves as an event coordinator and organizer for the club and other establishments in the area. For the duration of his employment at Tabu nightclub (one of Morgantown’s most popular clubs), he has had the opportunity to DJ concerts for some very famous and respectable artists. He has also worked numerous events throughout the Tri-State area. One of these events was the Cassidy Concert in Uniontown Pa VFW in 2008.
Apart from his great personality and professionalism, DJ Schemes is known for his ability to choose the right song at exactly the right time. This ability allows him to keep his listeners excited, involved, and entertained. He believes that as a DJ it is not only his job to play music, but to connect with his listeners, and to make sure that they are having the best time they can.
He has been known to go over and above his actual obligations to ensure that the event he is working is as fun and successful as possible. Both his charismatic personality and great people skills aide him in being “everyone’s favorite DJ”. His presence on the microphone is one of many things that set him apart from other DJs.
DJ Schemes continues to advance himself professionally. He continually upgrades his equipment and his music collection so that he can provide his customers with quality music and great experiences. His methods are truly unique and keep his customers coming back. “My presence on the microphone is what sets me apart from other ‘regular’ DJs,” he states.
It is easy to say that there is nothing regular or ordinary about a DJ Schemes experience.
